1. 🚆 A Line (Foothill) Opens Sept 19
After years of anticipation, the Metro A Line (formerly Gold Line) officially extends eastward. Starting Sept 19, riders can travel seamlessly from Pasadena through Azusa and on to Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne/Fairplex, and Pomona–North. Expect ribbon-cuttings, community celebrations at each new station, and free rides during the opening weekend. This expansion is expected to boost local business near the stations, reduce traffic along the 210/10 corridors, and offer students and commuters a faster, eco-friendly option.

2. 🚧 57/60 Confluence Project Closures
Diamond Bar and Walnut brace for nighttime connector closures in September as crews advance long-delayed work at the 57/60 interchange. Plan detours via Grand Ave or Lemon Ave, and allow extra travel time.
Driving tip: During the 57/60 work, Waze/Apple/Google may route you through neighborhood streets in Diamond Bar/Walnut at peak. Give yourself +10 –15 minutes the week of closures, and re-check morning of travel.
3. 🥟 Dumpling & Beer Fest Turns 10 — Oct 3
San Gabriel’s Mission District hosts the 10th annual Dumpling & Beer Fest on Oct 3, 6–10 pm. Entry is free; beer garden wristbands for unlimited pours are on sale now. Live music, 20+ vendors, and a big anniversary party vibe.
4. 🍷 Taste of Arcadia — Sept 13
The famed 626 Night Market at Santa Anita Park wraps up its 2025 season in September. This three-day evening festival has become a cultural landmark in Arcadia, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each weekend. The event is designed to raise awareness about sustainable transportation and encourage residents to consider alternatives to car commuting.
